Xero Bank Feeds enable Zomentum to automatically sync all transactions from your Zomentum balance account directly into your Xero bank feed. This integration simplifies bookkeeping, improves financial accuracy, and saves time by eliminating manual data entry.

What Are Xero Bank Feeds?

Xero Bank Feeds are a feature that allows Zomentum to push daily payment and payout activity directly into your connected Xero bank account. This ensures your Xero ledger reflects real-time movement of funds from your Zomentum account, including payments received, payouts, refunds, and chargebacks.

How Do Xero Bank Feeds Help?

If a refund or chargeback occurs, the transaction will appear in your Xero bank feed but not in the Account Transactions list. This is intentional and allows accountants to:

  • Detect differences between the bank feed and the accounting ledger

  • Reconcile and resolve discrepancies quickly

  • Maintain audit-ready financial records

This separation ensures transparency and greater control over how transactions are categorized and resolved.

Setting Up Xero Bank Feeds

For Existing Accounts: If your Xero account was connected before the bank feeds feature was launched, you’ll need to reauthorize your connection to grant Zomentum permission to push bank feed entries. A prompt will appear in the Zomentum platform if reauthorization is required.

For New Accounts: If you connected Xero after the feature was introduced, bank feeds are enabled by default  and no additional action is needed.

If you do not see any reauthorization prompts, your bank feed integration is already active.

How Bank Feed Entries Are Determined

To maintain accuracy in both your bank and accounting records, Zomentum applies the following logic when pushing entries to Xero:

  • Payments must precede payouts: Only payouts linked to payments that have already been pushed to the Xero bank feed will be included.

  • Historical payouts are excluded: Payouts for payments processed before the bank feed feature was enabled will not be pushed to Xero.

This ensures that your Xero bank feed matches your actual cash flow, without retroactively altering previous records.

Sync Schedule

Note: Bank feed syncs run daily at 6:00 AM UTC. All transactions from the previous day are pushed to Xero in one batch, ensuring consistency and minimizing sync errors.
